T-Mobile Opens Samsung Galaxy Tab Teaser Page

T-Mobile has opened its teaser page for its forthcoming launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab Android tablet. The page also features a sign up form for more information.

The currently confirmed version of the Tab features a 1 GHz Cortex A8 processor, triband HSPA support, quad-band GSM, 7-inch capacitive 1024×600 resolution display with multitouch support, Android 2.2, Wi-Fi radio, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS support, DLNA media streaming, Flash 10.1, 3.0 megapixel main camera with flash, 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, HD video playback at 1080p and microSD card slot with support for 32 GB cards.


This version will also launch on November 1st, while launch and pricing for the T-Mobile version has yet to be confirmed.

Verizon Trade-In Program

Following up, Verizon has launched a phone trade in program for those customers interested in discounting their next purchase from the carrier. The program appraises devices based on make and model as well as condition while offering the option to donate to the HopeLine program. Verizon also provides the necessary shipping materials for the trade-in and the devices do not have to be from Verizon proper for the trade-in program.

Samsung Wave II (S8530) Announced

Samsung today announced the successor to the original Wave, the Wave II (S8530). They previously announced the Wave 2, but the Wave II is the real successor of the Wave.

The Wave II comes with a larger 3.7? Super Clear LCD screen, 1GHz CPU, HDSPA, WiFi 802.11n, Bluetooth 3.0, 3.5mm audio-jack, 5MP camera with LED flash and HD video recording, 2GB internal memory, microSD card slot and a 1,500mAh battery.

The bada OS has also gotten a few new features, like for instance T9 input method Trace. This is much like a bada version of Swype.

The Wave II should be available in November for a price of 429 €.
